I received this as a Christmas gift in 2006. I do a lot of cooking, and it was good for light work (sweet pastry, whipped butter, etc.), but has worked with the heavier things like cookie dough. The motor made a grinding noise when mixing heavy things, and things have a tendency to creep up the sides of the tank, which needs a date down with a spatula. So I tried to knead the bread with the pasta and the engine is dead - despite claims that it is possible to use the Sunbeam mixer to knead the dough! Do not spare the beaters and bowls available, so my mixer is now an expensive paperweight. And even in the last two years.
