I think this is the starting point (less expensive) model of KitchenAid mixer, but it is certainly good enough for me. I use it mainly for biscuits and cakes, but I made a pizza dough in a couple of times. And 'certainly strong enough for any task that might need to. But, and here is the BUT, it does a poor job of reaching the bottom of the bowl. For example, if I need him to beat two eggs, really can not (I use a whip, instead). You also need to continue to push down the dough that accumulate on the walls of the bowl, if you want a homogeneous mixture. But this is my first stand mixer, and for all I know is a problem with each. In all, I love it and would buy again.

I bought this mixer about 1 years ago. EXPECTS reliable, heavy, built with a lot of steel inside. And 'anything but reliable. Designed to connect up to the end past the warranty period, not a day longer. Everything is made of steel to ensure that nobody can take it apart to fix the problem, or to see the internal parts of power transmission are made from cheap plastic.

This was my first stand mixer, and was purchased after much research. I bought QT 5 and the nominal capacity of 12 cups of flour is nonsense. With a double beans (6 cups) pasta flies upward in the rotation mechanism. It covers almost a double of oatmeal cookies - I agree with another poster that the problem is probably the narrow shape bowl.
